Word: BOY
Webster's: 1) a male child 2) any man; familiar term 3) a male servant: a patronizing term; an exclamation of pleasure, surprise, etc: often oh, boy!
This shows how my "definition" has expanded/changed 7 times, so far.
Mine: 1) a protector, caregiver, airplane ride giver, best boy in the world. (my dad.) 2) something gross and mean. (boys in the neighborhood) 3) something that makes your heart flutter, makes you cry, something you will die without. (1st boyfriend) 4) something that brought happiness, and then heartache, and better off without. (ex-husband) 5) something that completed me! ( love of my life, my husband.) 6) something that introduced me to a great new world (I grew up in a family of 4 girls): little league baseball, football, basketball, rough housing, bugs, snakes etc.; and showed me that little boys were cool. (my step-son) 7) my greatest gift, energy zapper, patience tryer (Yes this is a word in MY dictionary!), best reason to get up in the morning, light of my life! (my son)
